HOW TO STYLE A COCKTAIL GRID DRESS

Believe it or not, I have been looking at this grid dress through the store windows since last summer (summer of 2016 that is). The first time I was like “mmm cute dress”, the second time I was like “mmm so chic, bet I would look good on me lol” but just never went in and get it. I totally forgot about it for some time especially because I was not going that direction so, out of sight out of mind for me. Then this year my mother-in-law got a job in that same store. Can you believe it? I know! So because of how our work schedules were set up, I started picking her up more often that means I’m seeing the dress more often. I know I loved it but I never felt the need to buy it (trying to be disciplined in my spending habits). Besides if I bought everything that caught my eye what would my bank account look like? But picking her up on a nightly basis, the more often I saw it the more I wanted it. So I started telling everyone how much I wanted and liked it.

FINALLY

I finally, decided to end the torture and get this grid dress. Finally!!!! So I asked my mother-in-law to check it out for me being as she works in the store (no-brainer). Guess what? There was the only one left (other than the one in the store’s window) and I was my size. I know…!! So, of course, we had to get it. I mean it’s been talking to me since forever plus, there was the only one left and it’s in my size. Come on… it had to be mine no doubt about it. So one evening she brought the dress home. Of course with an employee discount, she would’ve gotten it cheaper so I have absolutely no business going in to get it myself and paying full price. Tried it on and it was perfect, fit and everything. It totally made my evening that day.

Where was I going to wear it to? Was not sure at the time but then the perfect opportunity to rock this unique grid dress arise. As it turned out this little chic, grid dress is perfect for a cocktail party or date night even. Because the dress itself was just so effortlessly chic I didn’t have to do much when I came on to styling it. I rocked it with a pair of my most uncomfortable gold ankle wrap, open toe stiletto heels. My black leather purse was added as well as a black suede hat, a black choker with a gold pendant. I also rocked my hoop earring (you know I love a good pair of hoop earrings), a chunky gold bracelet and gold mid rings.

If you have a grid dress share picture of how you rocked it with us. Thank you guys for reading and see you next post.
