THRIFT DENIM DRESS RECONSTRUCTION DIY

Guys this entire outfit ran me like $20 in real life. I got this dress at the thrift store for literally $5. I know!! It was pretty big for me. The length of it ended a little above my ankles. It was really wide and just swinging I mean, lol I just did not fit me at all. I did not have any specific ideas for it when I took it off the rack but, I knew there was a lot of potentials there. After taking it home and trying to figure out what to do with it, I decided to turn it into a mini dress. Guys, I’ve been wanting a denim dress for some time now too so this was the perfect opportunity to create and mini denim dress.

I was not going for this fit though, it just happened. I wanted it to looser and the armholes to be longer. That’s the initial vision, but while working on it, it to a different direction. So I just went with it. This little cuteness is what I ended up with after cutting it shorter and hemming it to my desired length. I also took it in from the back and the sides. That allowed for it to fit my figure better. Plus, I did not want to mess with the buttons on the front. I thought they were perfect. So I needed them to stay right in place. I got the black long sleeve top from Rue 21 for $10. something and these black stockings for $4 and some cents as well.

I cannot be held accountable for whats happening here lol

My only regret is that I did not take a picture before I completed the reconstruction of this denim dress. I promise from now on every time I take on a DIY outfit or project there will be before and after pictures or actual recordings.
