It was the battle of the scarves today and this baby won. I literally saw my mother-in-law with this scarf and straight up told her I had to have it. No beating around the bushes, by the way, every time I see her with one I say the same thing so, this is just one of many. Scarves are definitely a wardrobe staple and hands down one of the most versatile pieces of garment you will ever own. I’ve grown to appreciate a good scarf after using them in so many different ways over the years. I’ve used them as belts, head wraps, hair ties, sweater, a decorative piece of fabric for my bags and the list goes on.
My camera man wanted to be in the photo lol
I have a bald head and trust me the having the sun penetrate directly onto my scalp is not the best feeling and I don’t always feel like wearing a hat when going into the sun for long periods. So for this look, the scarf came in pretty handy by protecting my scalp while serving as a statement piece. When I was putting my pieces together I wanted a chic look but a bold look at the same time and I achieved just that. I can not remember ever wearing a scarf in public this way before though but, I must say I liked it. It turned a few heads. I guess that’s what being bold gets you, a couple of stares here and there. I was inspired to be bold and I did just that, not caring about the assumptions that would be made. I advise you guys to do the same and live your best life. Do not be hampered by the fear of what people might think or say, be bold.
got ma Grace Jones jawline on.
I am wearing a cream cropped pants from H&M with a white turtleneck top. I also threw my nude pumps in the mix for some balance. With the different earthy shades on the scarf, it all blended in nicely. What do you think?
I think my shadow and I are doing different things
Thank you guys for stopping by, see you next post.
Daisha Gayle was born in a small town in Jamaica. She grew up as a strong and focused individual with the determination to achieve greatness. She attended a prominent high school on the island, all that time she would conceptualize outfits and looks but when the time came to sketch it would look nothing like she had in mind. She went on to pursue a Bachelors degree in finance and economics at the University of Technology. there she would be revered as someone with a high fashion sense. She would be complimented for he style and bravery to just rock whatever she felt like. She was sought after for fashion advice on what to wear by friends (“Daisha this look good?”) or (Daisha help me pick something out to wear please?”). In 2013 she decided to start an online store and did that for some time but found it hard to balance studies and the business at the same time.
She was always intrigued by bright colours and prints. When introduced to African printed fabrics she fell all the way in love, almost like she found home. Many envisioned her a beautiful model because of her stature and appearance. Constantly she would have been encouraged to pursue a career as a model. She would think about modeling occasionally only because the compliments and advice came so often but still it was not really her niche. She wants to create outfits, dress models and build a successful business doing just that
She is very passionate about living a healthy lifestyle and her love for people is unmatched. She strongly believes that eating right and staying active will contribute to a long and healthy life hence, the quest to explore ways in assisting people to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Daisha continues to dream big and still holds dear to aspirations.
As she always says There are no limits.
